Michele McPhee can be heard Weeknights on 96.9 WTKK from 7PM – 10PM and Saturday Mornings 9AM - 12PM. With her finger on the pulse of the city Michele covers the battles that rage in the streets of Boston and talks with her audience every day about these events.
Michele was the first female Police Bureau Chief for the New York Daily News, the paper where she covered murder, mayhem and the Mafia for nearly ten years. She was at Ground Zero on that terrible morning when 23 NYPD officers, 37 Port Authority police officers, and 343 FDNY members were slain saving the lives of others – and was the recipient of the 2002 New York Society of the Silurians Feature News Award for “The Days After.”

McPhee returned to her native Boston in 2004, where she is a weekly columnist and the Police Bureau Chief for the Boston Herald. She is also a contributor to Boston magazine. McPhee’s crime stories have appeared in more than a dozen national magazines including Maxim; Stuff; Cosmopolitan; New York; ESPN the Magazine; Gotham; Manhattan File; and other international publications.
In addition to her programs on 96.9 WTKK and the Boston Herald Michele is the author of the Boston Globe bestselling true crime tome “Mob Over Miami”. She was the host of two Court TV “Mugshot” specials – one chronicling Chris Paciello, the South Beach, Miami nightclub king who was arrested as a New York City mobster who then became a government informant. The other featured McPhee discussing the life of Sammy “The Bull” Gravano in Brooklyn, before the Gambino crime family turncoat took down John Gotti with his testimony.
